Helena Borges Manuel is a nurse and researcher at the Centre of Studies on Migrations and Intercultural Relations (CEMRI) of the Universidade Aberta (Portuguese Open University) in Lisbon, Portugal, where she obtained a Doctoral Degree in Intercultural Psychology. She has carried out her professional activity in Portugal, Cape Verde, Brazil and Timor-Leste in the fields of health, development and international cooperation. Natália Ramos is a researcher and Associate Professor at the Universidade Aberta (Portuguese Open University) in Lisbon, Portugal. She is the scientific coordinator of Centre of Studies on Migrations and Intercultural Relations (CEMRI) of the Universidade Aberta (UAb) and coordinator of the Health, Culture and Development research group. She has a Doctoral Degree in Intercultural Clinical Psychology obtained at the Paris V University, Sorbonne. Her research and publications have primarily focused on psychology and communication, health, interculturality, migration, gender and development.
